Focused, in-depth support when you need clarity, momentum, or grounding — without committing to long-term therapy.

Limited Availability

What Is An Individual Intensive?

An Individual Intensive is a short-term, focused therapeutic experience designed to help you work through a specific issue, transition, or stuck pattern with depth and intention.

This offering includes:

  • One intake session (60 minutes)

  • One 3-hour intensive therapy session

This format allows for uninterrupted, meaningful work in a contained and supportive environment.
It is not crisis care and not a replacement for emergency services.

Who An Intensive Is Suitable For:

Individual Intensives are well suited for people who:

  • Feel stuck in a specific pattern, decision, or emotional loop

  • Are navigating a life transition or identity shift

  • Want clarity before making an important decision

  • Have done therapy before and want deeper, focused work

  • Want support without committing to weekly therapy

  • Feel overwhelmed and want time to slow things down

  • Are motivated to engage thoughtfully and honestly

This may be a good fit if you:

  • Want focused support around a specific concern

  • Are open to reflection and emotional awareness

  • Prefer depth over frequency

  • Feel ready to engage, even if you feel unsure

Who An Intensive Is Not Suitable For:

This format is not appropriate if:

  • You are in active crisis or experiencing suicidal thoughts

  • There is significant, untreated substance use impacting safety

  • You are experiencing acute psychosis or mania

  • You are seeking advice only or someone to make decisions for you

  • You are not ready to engage in reflection or emotional exploration

If an intensive is not the right fit, alternative recommendations or referrals will be discussed.

This may not be the right fit if you:

  • Need immediate crisis intervention

  • Want a quick fix without reflection

  • Prefer long-term, weekly therapy at this time

If you’re unsure, the intake session is designed to assess fit together.

Possible Outcomes

People often leave an Individual Intensive with:

  • Increased clarity and perspective

  • Reduced emotional overwhelm

  • Greater self-understanding and self-compassion

  • Clearer boundaries or decision-making capacity

Outcomes vary. The goal is clarity and choice, not a guaranteed result.

Deposit, Appropriateness & Cancellation Policy

Couples intensives require significant clinical assessment and preparation prior to the therapy days.

A $1,000 non-refundable deposit is required at booking. The remaining balance is due before Phase One begins.

If, during Phase One, the intensive is assessed as clinically inappropriate, the intensive will not proceed,  $3,000 will be reimbursed and referrals will be provided if appropriate.

Fees retained reflect completed assessment, professional judgment, and preparation and are not refundable.

Decisions regarding appropriateness are based on clinical judgment and ethical obligations under the OCSWSSW Standards of Practice.

Client-Initiated Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • The deposit covers assessment review, preparation, and scheduling and is non-refundable.

  • Cancellations with 7+ days’ notice of the start of Phase One may apply the deposit to a future intensive book at the time of cancellation (one reschedule only).

  • Cancellations within 7 days of the intensive are subject to full fee.

Therapist-Initiated Cancellation & Rescheduling

If the therapist must cancel due to illness, emergency, or other unforeseen circumstances, clients may choose:

  • A full refund of fees paid for services not yet rendered, or

  • To reschedule the intensive at a mutually agreed-upon time

Appropriateness Clause

If, during screening or intake, the intensive is determined to be clinically inappropriate, the assessment portion of the fee is retained and referrals will be provided.

This clause protects you ethically and financially.

It can be. The pace is supportive, and breaks are built in. You will not be pushed beyond your capacity.
